Taiwan sold the toys marked “made in Japan” until imported stock ran out, some toys were imported without boxes and the Taiwanese manufacturers began to make their own packaging. It is for this reason that this box says “S.J.M. MADE IN TAIWAN”. Looking at the back of robot you can see written “MADE IN JAPAN”, and on the battery cover is embossed “MADE IN JAPAN”
